Founded in 1974 by Gerald Sizer, Industrial Door Company, Inc. has grown to set the standard for quality garage doors in the Upper Midwest. Beginning in his own garage, Gerry grew the Company through hard work and a commitment to providing outstanding garage door systems and service to customers in the Twin Cities area.
In 1981, Gerry purchased Twin City Spring, renaming it Industrial Spring Company, and began the spring manufacturing division of the Company. With Gerry's guidance, and an expanding customer base, both companies prospered. Gerry semi-retired in the year 2000, with his two children, Jeremy Sizer and Jodi (Sizer) Boldenow, stepping forward and serving as G.M. of Industrial Door Company and Industrial Spring Company respectively.
